Chery published its September results in a statement on October 8. The 292,308 figure covers sales of the whole group, not the Chery brand alone.
In the same release the company reported 207,814 global deliveries, up 51% year on year. This is a separate measure from sales and should not be added to the 292,308 result.
According to Chery, new energy vehicle sales reached 133,310 units, up 45.6% year on year. The statement presents manufacturer data and does not break the September result down into European registrations.
