BYD shows ETT 44 electric tractor with 651 kWh battery and claimed 600 km range
At IAA Transportation in Hanover, BYD Commercial Vehicles presented its European range of electric trucks. According to the manufacturer, the flagship ETT 44 tractor has a 651 kWh battery and a range of 600 km.

The ETT 44 is a 4x2 electric tractor unit that BYD designed for long-haul transport. The company quotes power of up to 750 kW, or about 1,020 hp, and a range of up to 600 km.
BYD claims that charging at up to 1.5 MW should take the battery from 20 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes. According to the announcement, this should add up to 400 km of range, but these are manufacturer figures for the technology presented.
The show also featured trucks for regional transport and special applications. BYD described its European range as running from 3.5-tonne vehicles to combinations of up to 44 tonnes.
