Poland, September 2026: Chinese brands

About this video

Almost one in six new cars registered in Poland today is a Chinese brand. In September: 8,776 cars. Almost twice as many as a year ago. The leader is MG, a former British brand owned by a Chinese group. Seventh place in Poland, ahead of BMW and Dacia. The biggest jump came from Chery. A year ago, 143 cars a month. Now 1,342. And these are not electric cars. Gasoline cars and hybrids are selling, because the extra EU duties covered only battery cars. Then there is price. This spring, the MG HS was sold in Poland at a promotional price. The other side: companies buy two thirds of new cars in Poland. And they worry about service, parts and resale value.
