XPeng: 7,000 orders for a flying car
About this video
7,000 orders. For a car that launches a two-seat aircraft. This is the Land Aircraft Carrier from Aridge, a company linked to XPeng. The six-wheeled van carries the aircraft in its rear and charges it on the go. Price in China: under 2 million yuan, for a van with a 2-seat aircraft. The factory in Guangzhou is meant to build up to 10,000 units a year. The company had announced first deliveries for 2026. But it may only fly with a certificate from the aviation authority. The application was filed in 2024. We could not confirm that the certificate has been issued. Orders, a factory and money are all there: in March the company raised nearly 200 million dollars. One signature is missing.
